AFCON Preview: Nigeria tackles Guinea for Round of 16 slot.
Super Eagles of Nigeria will trade tackles with the Syli nationale of Guinea in the second round of games in Group B of the African Cup Of Nations in Alexandra Stadium, Alexandra on Wednesday.
After a winning performance was fashioned out in a 1-0 win over Burundi on Saturday, Super Eagles will continue their quest for another African title when they play Guinea in a 45,000 capacity stadium of Alexandra, Egypt.
It will be the 18th time Nigeria will face Guinea, they have both won 5 times each and drew 7 times, including the 2-2 draw of same competition in 2011. Both teams will be looking to get an edge over each other to record a sixth win.
This time around, Guinea battle for their first victory in Group B after they had a 2-2 draw in their first game against Madagascar. Eagles are determine to continue their fine start to the tourney and probably achieve a more better result in terms of goals.
Gernot Rohr said his Press conference ahead of the game, "Odion Ighalo is expected to start, Samuel Kalu is certified fit after he was dehydrated in camp, Chidozie Awaziem will play the Right Back position, meanwhile Jamilu Collins, Shehu Abdullahi are out of the encounter due to injuries".
Should be a very tensed game as both teams will do battle for a king in the West. The game is fixed for 3:30pm Local time on Wednesday.
