Success: Pricing the Priceless
Success is an attribute which should be cherished as close to our heart but it shouldn’t be the cause of heartache for anyone.
Ever since humans have taken the shape of human evolving from its primitive stage, they have been continuously striving for the betterment. Indeed! Betterment is a concept which should be cherished without a shade of doubt and dubious intentions. It’s the betterment which had made us privileged of all those attributes which we today proudly term as development. The development which had marked our way against each and every living organism and helped us to label as Homo Sapiens. Those Homo Sapiens who today claim to be individuals with a high degree of sophistication and technological advancement were once a part of this natural process called betterment. The same betterment which had enabled not only us to stride further but also made us the masters of almost all the other living organisms.
With the passage of time this betterment took the route of individualistic approach and we started to proudly claim it as the success. Success became something which became synonymous to each and everyone’s life irrespective of any gender, caste, creed and geographical location. Such was the hype of this newly coined-term that in the quest of conquering we were willing to pay any price. A price which was devoid of any other aspects as everyone defined this success in their own language. If this success was amassing wealth for somebody, then he didn’t hesitate to go to any means to ameliorating those pieces of paper which are called currency in the language of sophisticated people. If this success was the power for something, then he didn’t dither even for a fraction of second to fathom his wish, even if it cost the millions of innocent lives. If this success introduced the world to multi-millionaires then it has been also been notorious for bringing those brutal “Messiah of Massacres”!
Is really success so much sabotaging that it makes an ephemeral to go to the extreme in order to attain it? Or we ourselves have been the culprit of creating our own definitions of this priceless aspect of a person’s life? Undoubtedly, without a shred of doubt, success is something which has enabled us to get away from the stigma of mediocrity and makes us stand apart from the crowd. The crowd which continuously remind us of our fallacies rather than encouraging for our proficiency. It’s the charm of success that makes the world aware of our true potential which could be in the service of mankind. Indeed! Success makes the mere mortals feel worthy in the eyes of their near and dear ones but they shouldn’t forget that “Being worthy at the cost of the world is always worthless”. They should always understand that success is an attribute which should be cherished as close to our heart but it shouldn’t be the cause of heartache for anyone. Then only we will be able to savour the true meaning of success which would be remembered and nurtured for ages!
