Sallah: Brisk business at Ogun’s Kara market

Muslim faithful thronged Kara market on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State on Saturday to purchase rams for the Sallah.

Our correspondent who visited the market observed a large crowd of buyers and sellers amid scores of rams, goats and cows.

The situation affected traffic inward Lagos from the long bridge as visitors to the market parked their vehicles on the edge of the road.

Soldiers, policemen and Federal Road Safety Corps Marshals were on hand to direct traffic and provide security at the sprawling livestock market on the banks of Ogun River.

Prices of rams ranged from N150,000 to N250,000.
