Review – Manchester United humiliates Chelsea at Old Trafford

Marcus Rashford brace, Anthony Martial and Daniel James goals saw Manchester United pummeled Chelsea 4-0 to climb second on the first game of the season on Sunday at Old Trafford.

Manchester United couldn’t start the game in a fashionable way as we expected but was up to the task to curtain Chelsea at different dangerous positions. At some point, Chelsea hit the bar which came at both halves.
United took the lead from Marcus Rashford 18th minutes penalty after he was brought down by Kurt Zouma at the edge of the box. With so much chances created, Referee blew his whistle for half time.

Second half came alive in the 65th minutes, Andreas Pereira had the ball in the right hand corner as he struck a low cross into Anthony Martial who convert into the net. Two minutes later, Pogba received the ball from midfield and lunch a through ball unto Marcus Rashford who calmly slot the ball past GK, Arrizabalaga.

With 9 minutes left, Chelsea surged forward to get a consolation goal off a corner, the red devils made them pay once again as Pogba received the ball from his own half, race through Rashford with a one-two ball with two defenders to beat, Daniel James came from nowhere to create an option, got the ball and placed brilliantly into the net to a absolute dominant display from United.
