Four Northern states – Plateau, Gombe, Bauchi and Benue were on Tuesday thrown into total darkness after a mystery fire gutted a 150 MVA 300/132KVA transformer on Zaria road in Jos.
The fire consumed the entire transmission station and threw the four states into total darkness.
Firemen and security personnel attached to JEDC battled on Tuesday night to contain the blaze.
