One beaten as Ngige escapes mob attack

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, on Sunday escaped mob attack at the venue if the ward congresses of All Progressives Congress in Anambra State even as a member of the organising committee known as Ali was seriously beaten and his clothes torn to shreds.
Members of the state chapter had accused the former governor of manipulating the congresses and trying to hijack the party structure.
The party’s governorship candidate in the last election, Tony Nwoye, accused some party members of aiding his loss.
He also accused Ngige of attempting to hijack the party’s structure in the state.
In the rowdiness that ensued, thugs descended on Ngige but he was swiftly taken out of Sinote Hotel by security agents.
