Okorocha, family to forfeit assets

Imo State Governor, Owelle Richard Okorocha



Immediate past Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and his famous KY are to forfeit properties illegally acquired from the state government during his eight years at the helm.

This was stated by the head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Enugu zonal office, Imam Usman, at a press conference.

He stated that the commission had obtained an interim order to seize the assets traced to the former governor, his daughter, Unoma Nwosu, and an aide, Paul Obi.

The assets include a school run by the Rochas Foundation.

He said the commission was working towards obtaining a permanent forfeiture order and returning the assets to the people of the state.

There was no word from Okorocha or his aides.
