Ogun receives FG’s palliatives, expects Conditional Cash Transfers

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Friday received five truckloads of rice and other palliatives from the Federal Government for the citizens of the state.

The palliatives were delivered by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development,Sadiya Umar Farouk, to the governor at his office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

The governor said in tweets: “This afternoon, I received the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hon. Sadiya Umar Farouq, in my Office in Oke-Mosan. https://t.co/mYvo46g4FZ

The Honourable Minister handed over five (5) truckloads of rice and one (1) truckload of vegetable oil, as part of the relief materials that the Federal Government is donating to the State for further distribution to the poor, vulnerable and elderly.

“She gave her word to speed up the process of the FG’s cash transfer to the less privileged in Ogun State, in order to ensure that these beneficiaries remain well during the COVID-19 lockdown period, which was directed for the common good of everyone.

“We further identified how Ogun State can start benefiting from other socioeconomic intervention schemes of the FG meant mainly for the less privileged and the masses in general.”
