One person died on Sunday and about three others were badly injured when a drinks trucks and another uses for conveying sand collided at Aseese on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway inward Ibadan.
Witnesses said the sand truck was running against traffic when it collided with the other vehicle carrying empty beer crates collided near As Salaam Filling Station.
The driver of the sand truck died on the spot while the occupants of the vehicle carrying drinks were trapped in their truck.
The impact of the collision forced the drinks truck to swerve towards the median of the expressway where it crashed into a passing Toyota Corolla
Pieces of broken bottles littered the expressway and causes a traffic jam.
Sympathisers rushed to the scene and uses various implements to rescue the occupants of the drinks truck
A couple in the Toyota Corolla miraculously escaped unhurt.
There was no presence of police or Federal Road Safety Corps marshals at the scene.
