Obaseki demolishes Oshiomhole loyalists’ properties

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki on Wednesday demolished the properties of some loyalists of his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole, in different parts of Benin GRA.

Those affected by the demolition are Oshiomhole’s deputy, Pius Odubu; the Secretary to the State Government in his administration, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere; and a sports enthusiast, Mike Etemuagbor.

These properties were among those who Certificates of Occupancy were recently revoked by the state government.

Odubu told newsmen that his younger brother and members of the family were occupying the house on Dennis Osadebey Way near Government House, Benin when it was brought down.

Ihonvbere, who is a sitting member of the House of Representatives, said the state government went ahead to demolish his property under construction even though the matter was in court.
