Oba of Benin, fifth wife welcome quadruplets

Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II has welcomed set quadruplets.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, welcomed a set of quadruplets with his fifth wife, Esosa Ewuare, into the Benin Royal family.

In May 2020, the Benin monarch welcomed his first infant Prince from her Royal Highness, Iyayota Ewuare after he ascended the throne of his forebears as the 40th Oba of Benin.

The Benin monarch made the announcement at 4:57 pm on Friday, at his palace in Benin City, amidst jubilation by guests.

The quadruplets are three males and a female.

The Oba thanked God Almighty and the ancestors for the blessing.

The presiding priest of the oldest West African Church, Holy Aruosa Church, Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri, prayed for God’s wisdom and guidance for the newborns.

Meanwhile, the brief ceremony coincided with the visit of the national executives of the Immaculate Conception College, Benin City, which is the alma-mater of the monarch.
