Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, meets Osinbajo, prays for Buhari


Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, on Thursday met with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House, Abuja.

Akiolu, who was accosted by reporters after the meeting, said he was at the State House to pay homage to Osinbajo and offer prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration.

He also prayed for the quick recovery of Buhari and his safe return.

He also said he was at the Villa to pay homage to his former law lecturer.

Akiolu, who was accompanied by an unnamed Lagos chief, urged Nigerians to be patient with the Buhari administration.

He said he was in Abuja for a meeting at the National Assembly and would have remained in the federal capital for a security meeting on Friday but had to change plans when it was cancelled.

Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sunusi II, had met with Osinbajo and Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Wednesday.
