Nigerian female singer dies after performing at Gbajabiamila mother’s birthday


One of Nigeria star lead vocalists, Ejiro Emokiniovo, has died in Dubai, United Arab Emirates after performing at the 90th birthday party of the mother of the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The singer, who was the lead vocalist of the Veentage Band, was rushed to the hospital for a surgery after her performance on Thursday March 5, 2020.

She did not make it.

Her husband, Desmond Emokiniovo, who was with her in Dubai, took to Instagram to mourn her.

Using the image of a burning candle, Desmond said: “Of a truth, there’s no justice in this world…. The worst day of my entire existence…

“Dear Lord …You always answer any time we call. Why you chose not to answer yesterday remains a mystery..”

Friends and family members took to social media to mourn her death just as the news was greeted with shock and disbelief back home in Nigeria.
