The new Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mene Kolo Kyari, takes over today from Dr. Maikanti Baru.
The outgoing GMD, who clocks 60 today, had worked with NNPC for 28 years.
A valedictory service is being held for him at NNPC Towers in Abuja.
Until his new appointment, Kyari, a geologist, was Group General Manager, Crude Oil Marketing Division of NNPC and also doubled, since May 13, 2018, as Nigeria’s representative to the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC.
