Naira Marley hits back at critics

Controversial musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, on Wednesday lashed out at his critics, in what appeared to be anger at his recent brush with the Lagos State Government other social distancing regulations.

The state government had on Wednesday dropped charges against Marley and two others – a former governorship candidate Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi and a Yoruba actress, Eniola Badmus, after they apologised for violating the regulations on the Coronavirus pandemic.

They were taken before an Ogba Chief Magistrates’ Court after surrendering to the police for attending a house party organised by popular actress Funke Akindele Bello aka Jenifa for her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz, during the two-week lockdown imposed by the Federal Government on the state.

However, the charges against them were dropped after they showed remorse.

They agreed to provide written apologies to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and be isolated for 14 days to confirm their health status.

In apparent anger at his ordeal, Marley took to Twitter to hit back at people who supported their arest and arraignment.

He said: “Snitches on twitter will get you arrested and still want you to fight the government for them????????? from now on it’s just Marlians Only. Let’s all listen to the government and give them our full support ?”
