Murdered anti-kidnapping officers arrested Evans, rescued Buhari’s district head – Police

Still smarting from the killing of three anti-kidnapping  policemen and a civilian by soldiers in Taraba State on Tuesday, the Nigeria Police Force has released a memorial in honour of the fallen heroes.

The memorial, which was issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, on Thursday has their pictures and heroic feats embarked upon for the nation.

The three offices are Inspector Mark Ediale, Sergeant Usman Danzumi and Sergeant Dahiru Musa.

The memorial says they belonged to one of the best and most highly trained Intelligence Response Teams in Nigeria.

It said their team rescued Magajin Darin, the district head of Daura in Katsina State; arrested 22 suspected Boko Haram members allegedly responsible for the kidnap of over 200 Chibok schoolgirls in April 2014; arrested alleged notorious kidnap kingpin, Evans; captured the alleged kidnappers of two Americans and two Canadians in Kaduna State; and nabbed the overall commander of Boko Haram in North-Central Nigeria, Umar Abdulmalik, and several other members.
