Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and erstwhile presidential candidate, Dr. Kingsley Moghalu, on Wednesday condemned the killing of 21 members of the Independent Peoples of Biafra by a combined team of State Security Service, police and military personnel in Emene, Enugu State on Sunday.

Moghalu, in a tweet, also called for an investigation into the murder of the activists.

It reads: “The deaths of IPOB members and DSS operatives in a clash in Enugu is regrettable. The incident should be investigated independently, impartially, and the outcome made public. Extra-judicial killings MUST end in Nigeria. My condolences to victims’ families.”
