Labour on Wednesday suspended the five-day strike and protests in Kaduna State after it was invited to a meeting with Governor Nasir el-Rufai in Abuja.
The conciliatory meeting was initiated by the Federal Government as a way of resolving the issues that led to the total strike, which saw to the shutting down of all public facilities in the state.
Ngige urged the governor and Labour to honour the meeting scheduled for Thursday.
This was disclosed to journalists in Kaduna by the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba, after its National Administrative Council meeting in Kaduna.
He said though the workers sacked by the state government had not been recalled, Labour would give room for dialogue.
