Labour leaders protest hardship in Lagos, Abuja street marches

Labour leaders under the aegis of the Nigeria Labour Congress and TradeUnion Congress on Thursday staged street protests in Abuja and Lagos against the hardship and economic downturn in the country.

In Abuja, the labour leaders converged on the Unity Fountain and marched towards the Presidential Villa.

In Lagos, the protesters gathered at the NLC Secretariat at Yaba nd marched through the streets to the office of the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, at Alausa in Ikeja.
