A hang of kidnappers on Monday morning released Aishat Umar Ardo Ummi, niece to Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in Abuja.
She was kidnapped at Blinkers Plaza in Abuja on Sunday night around 7.30pm and forced into an ash Toyota Camry car.
Reports said her father, Dr. Umar Ardo, who is Atiku’s cousin, paid $15,000 worth of Bitcoin to secure her release.
“”Alhamdulillah Miss Aishat Umar Ardo has just been released after her father paid the $15,000 in Bitcoin ramsom. She just called her dad to pick her up at 4th Avenue Gwarinpa,” a tweet said.
