Kidnappers on Wednesday night freed a Justice of the Court of Appeal, Benin, Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme, after almost three weeks in captivity.
She was kidnapped near Agbor on Benin-Asaba Expressway on her way to Owerri on October 30, 2019.
Her police orderly was shot dead while her driver was injured.
Her release was confirmed by the Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, Owerri branch, D.O Nosike, in a message to members.
He thanked the state government for assisting in efforts towards her release.
