Journalists barred as family buries slain Super TV boss

Journalists were barred on Friday from covering the burial of the CEO of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, who was found brutally murdered on June 16, 2021 at an upscale Lagos apartment.

Ataga was buried on Friday, around 12.30 pm in a low-key ceremony attended strictly by his family members, including his wife, and friends.

Ataga, aged 50, lived from 1971 to 2021.

He was found dead at an apartment on Adebowale Oshin Street, Lekki Phase I where he had checked in with his lover, 21-year-old Chidinma Ojukwu, a 300-level Mass Communication student at the University of Lagos.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are still ongoing at the Lagos State Police Command.
