2023: Jonathan resumes consultations as protesters storm Abuja office

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday resumed consultations over pressure from different quarters on him to run in the 2023 presidential election as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

APC had allegedly on the prompting of President Muhammadu Buhari embarked on secret meetings with Jonathan with a view to drafting him into the race.

He was recently said to have declined the alleged offer at a meeting with APC chieftains in Abuja.

On Friday, protesters stormed his office, asking him to join the race.

However, Jonathan told them that he had yet to decide in whether to run.

He told them that his decision would be communicated to all Nigerians at the right time.
