Unknown gunmen who kidnapped a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Kingsley Maduka, on Friday May 19, 2023, in Ngor Okpala, Imo State have released him.
A statement by the Chancellor/Secretary of the Catholic Diocese of Okigwe, Very Rev. Fr. Princewill Iwuanyanwu, on Tuesday said he was released on Monday evening.
No further details were given.
Two policemen were killed at the checkpoint when the kidnappers struck.
