Flash: Five cases in A’Ibom as Nigeria hits 174 patients


Akwa Ibom became the latest state to join the Coronavirus table on Wednesday, producing five new cases.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has repeatedly ignored please to take drastic measures to prevent the disease from spreading across the state.

On Wednesday night, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control Saud the oil-rich state produced five cases while Lagos moved from 82 to 91.

This brings Nigeria’s current total to 174.

The tweets read: “Twenty-three new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Lagos, 7 in the FCT, 5 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Bauchi State

As at 08:00 pm 1st April there are 174 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths.
