FG rearraigns Sowore, Bakare for treasonable felony, drops old charge, drops five counts



The Federal Government on Thursday rearraigned the Publisher of Saharareporters Omoyele Sowore and his associate, Olawale Bakare, on a two-count charge of treasonable felony

They were arraigned afresh before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The new prosecutor, Aminu Aliu, said five counts and n the previous seven-count charge had been dropped.

They include cyberstalking and insulting President Muhammadu Buhari and money laundering.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty.

The court had on Wednesday fined the Federal Government N200,000 for delaying the trial.
