Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el Rufai, on Saturday have an indication of what appears to be a grand plan to diminish the profile of All Progressives Congress National Leader and erstwhile Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
There has been no love lost between the Kaduna State Governor and Tinubu.
In fact, at a public lecture in Lagos some months ago, el Rufai gave hints on how the people of the state can displace a godfather.
Even though he didn’t name Tinubu, there was no missing the fact that the former governor was in the bull’s eye.
On Saturday, el Rufai fired another veiled shot with a Yoruba proverb, leading to speculations that Tinubu was yet again in focus.
The tweet reads: “SATURDAY WISDOM: “The moment the masquerade begins to think he is the God, the masquerade will be unmasked and reduced to be a laughing stock that is lower than a human being.” – Yoruba Proverb.”
Both men are believed to be interested in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2023 presidential election.
