Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday interrogated the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, over alleged financial issues involving his office.

Obasa was invited to the agency’s office in Lagos and spent over five hours with its investigators.

He returned late to his office at Alausa in the state capital, Ikeja, where he addressed protesters demanding the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police.

He gave them the assurance that he would meet with them on Friday morning to listen to their grievances.
