Delta lawmaker: I don’t have Coronavirus

Delta State House of Assembly’s Majority Whip and member representing Ughelli North II, Prince Eric Oharisi, has denied being the rumoured index Coronavirus case in the state.

A rumour had circulated around the state that Oharisi was the one referred to by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as the first victim of the killer virus in the state on Tuesday.

However, friends and associates of the lawmaker talkies around to debunk the rumour.

An side to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Mr. Ovie Success, said he spoke to Oharisi, who had denied being a victim of the disease.

On Facebook, a relative of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Gloria Oborevwori, also strongly debunked the speculation.
She says he had not travelled outside Nigeria since December and is hale and hearty.

She said he would address the matter personally.
