Criminals set Sunday Igboho’s house on fire



Unknown criminals on Monday night setnthe home of Yoruba community leader Sunday Igboho in Soka, Ibadan ablaze.

Fire fighters reportedly arrived hours after the inferno had been out out by neighbours.

The police said the arsonists got to the place in a Toyota Hummer bus and a Toyota Micra car.

Igboho in his reaction said he would not make the culprits yet even though he knows them.

He had come into public attention recently after advising Fulani herdsmen to quit his hometown, Igangan, in Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State last Friday.

After the deadline expired, the community leader and his supporters stormed the Fulani enclave and evicted the herders.

Prior to that, youths had burnt down the palace of the Seriki Fulani and destroyed 11 vehicles.

The people of the area had accused the herdsmen of collecting N50 million ransom from them and of also raping their women.
