Pastor Omodele Fatoyinbo, wife of the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Abuja Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, on Sunday defended her husband against allegations of rape and serial sexual abuse.
Omodele, who anchored Sunday’s service, said: My husband is not a rapist.”
Just then, her husband got up from his seat, took the microphone and said: “The matter is with the elders.”
Unlike the standard practice, there was no sermon.
This was even as protesters under the #Churchtoo Movement gathered outside the church to demand his resignation from the headship of the ministry until he clears himself of the allegations.
However, a group of protesters carried placards denouncing attacks on the pastor.
