A group of Peoples Democratic Party youths in Kaduna State have reported the senator representing Kaduna Central, Uba Sani, to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly using COVID-19 Nirsal loans to solicit support for his governorship ambition.

In the March 21, 2022 petition signed by Elias Timbuk, the youths said Sani of the All Progressives Congress had promised the loans to Kaduna State delegates to the party’s national convention scheduled for Saturday in Abuja.

The youths said they attached a flash drive of all the videos where he was allegedly recorded as having made the promises.

They said it had generated tension in Kaduna and caused disquiet among PDP members.

They added that the alleged action violated the intentions of the Central Bank of Nigeria and NIRSAL in setting up the COVID-19 fund.
