The Presidency on Monday was silent on the alleged sacking of a special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari and chairman of the Special Presidential Panel on the Recovery of Public Property, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla.

The panels office in Asokoro, Abuja was shut on Friday afternoon by a detachment of policemen, with a firm directive not to allow access to the place.

There were indications that he had been sacked for alleged link to corrupt activities and forgery of his school certificate but he had consistently denied these charges.

When Metrostarng contacted the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Communication, Mr. Femi Adesina, for comments on Monday morning, he said: “I have no information on the matter. Good morning.”
