Buhari to address Nigerians Monday






President Muhammadu Buhari will brief Nigerians on Monday on the next phase of the nationwide lockdown and curfew as part of efforts against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Buhari last briefed Nigerians in a nationwide broadcast two weeks ago.

He met with members of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 at the State House, Abuja on Sunday during which he was briefed on the current state of the pandemic in Nigeria.

The team was led by its chairman, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

On the entourage was the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu.

Buhari is expected to ease interstate movements and end the curfew from Monday May 25.

He will also direct federal civil servants to resume work fully by Monday June 1.
