Bayelsa gov visits Saraki, urged to reconcile aggrieved PDP members

Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri, on Sunday met with the immediate Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, in Abuja.

It was part of ongoing efforts to interact with leaders of the party on the way forward.

Saraki advised Diri to work hard at reconciling aggrieved members of the party and bringing back those who had left.

In tweets on the visit, Saraki said: “I was pleased to receive @GovDiriDouye, the Governor of Bayelsa State in my home this afternoon. During our conversation, I appealed to him to pursue reconciliation within @OfficialPDPNig ranks, and to work hard to deliver on the wishes and aspirations of the Bayelsa people.

“@GovDiriDouye gave me assurances of his determination to reunite our party and the entire state, and to perform excellently during his tenure as Governor.”
