The General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has been captured in a video saying he did not want the COVID-19 scourge to end, because of the amount of wealth the situation was creating for him.
The controversial cleric, who was also currently in the news over allegations of adultery with the wife of his former pastor, did not however name the business he did during the period, but boasted of how he even bought a new privet jet, his third while the pandemic was still raging.
In a message during an undated sermon, the cleric, in an apparent attempt to instill the spirit of perseverance in members of the church, against the serious economic situation in the country, told them that they could still turn their misfortunes into fortunes.
At the time the country faced so much frustration due to failing businesses and poor quality of living, including total lockdown of the economy and free movement, Suleman said, so much was the situation so favourable to him and his family that his wife, exclaimed that she did not know that life could be “so sweet.”
Hear him: “In COVID (pandemic) I bought a jet; the third one. I have three. I was praying for COVID-19 not to end because I was resting. While people were complaining, my wife asked, ‘Can life be this sweet?’ Am I talking to somebody here?
“No stress. I read on the Internet that there’s a rumour going around that I have a machine that prints money. I like that rumour. They say, ‘He should be investigated. He has a machine that prints money’.
“Somebody asked if it’s true and I said it is true. They said, ‘It’s risky o’. I said I didn’t know it’s risky because I already bought the machine. When you speak in tongues, you’re printing money.”
