APC extends Oyegun’s tenure

All Progressives Congress on Tuesday extended the tenure of its National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, and other members of the National Executive Committee by one year.

Speaking after a meeting of the NWC in Abuja, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, told journalists that Oyegun’s tenure was sue to end on June 30, 2018.

He said the NWC felt it was not wise to pre-empt the ongoing assignment of the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to reconcile earring members of the party.

H said there was the need to reconcile feuding members before the 2019 elections.
