The presidential screening panel of the All Progressives Congress on Friday announced the disqualification of 10 ‘old’ contenders out of the 23 that submitted their nomination and Expression of Interest forms.
This was made known by a former APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, while submitting the report to the current Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, in Abuja
He added that only youthful aspirants made the list of cleared aspirants.
The committee held the screening exercise between Monday and Tuesday this week.
Cleared aspirants are expected to contest the presidential primary at a scheduled special convention in Abuja between June 6 and 8.
