President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday intervened in the political crisis in Ogun State by convening a meeting with Governor Dapo Abiodun and two of his predecessors, Gbenga Daniel and Segun Osoba in Abuja.
Also at the meeting are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and a governorship candidate in successive elections in the state, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka.
The governor was accompanied by his deputy, Alhaja Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
However, the immediate past Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, was absent.
Amosun, who is a close ally if Buhari, is a sitting senator and has been embroiled in a political battle with his successor.
Abiodun recently set up a committee to prove contracts awarded by his predecessor and chairmen of local governments in the state.
