Alaafin’s estranged wife pens Instagram tribute
Queen Ola, the estranged wife of late Alaafin of Oyo, has written him a tribute.
Recall that Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi died April 22, 2022.
Queen Ola had left the palace while the king was alive.
In a post on Instagram, she expressed how sad she was to have heard about the king’s demise.
She said: ‘’Daddy, words fail me but God knows better. I was thinking it’s all lies and that you are coming back, but I’m afraid I was wrong.
“The father of my kids, that I met at an impressionable age and left when it was least expected.
“Whenever I tell people that the bond we share can be likened to that of ‘Siamese’ having been married to you at age 19, they are more than transfixed.

’You remain to me, a best father, teacher, mentor and husband that ever bestrode the landscapes.
“Almighty Allah will forgive all your sins and accept your return.’’
She had left the palace last year but in what seemed like a desperate move, Olori Damilola tendered a public apology to the monarch on her official Instagram account.
In addition to the apology, the ex-queen also pleaded with the Alaafin and the royal family to be allowed to return to the palace and accused her friends of leading her astray.
The mother-of-one walked out of her marriage shortly after her co-queen, Aanu, left in November 2020.
For months, rumours were rife that both queens ,who are in their 20s, fled to Lagos because they wanted to be “free”.
But this is the first time that the queen would be publicly confirming speculations that she had walked out of her marriage of barely five years.

Queen Aanu, who recently had her wedding introduction, had accused the monarch of attempting to kidnap her adding that she no longer wants to be in bondage.
The then 23-year-old, who welcomed the monarch’s third set of twins in 2018, tagged the police in her statement.
