Department of State Services on Thursday refused to obey an order by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court I Abuja to release the publisher of Saharareporters Omoyele Sowore.
The judge has given the order on Wednesday after Sowore perfected his bail conditions.
Or if the journalist’s lawyers, Inibehe Effiong, had stated that the order was served on DSS at its Abuja headquarters.
The agency acknowledged receipt of the order but refused to comply with it, marking yet another odious milestone in the record of the Buhari administration for disobeying court orders.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo of another Federal High Court in Abuja had three months ago granted a similar order for Sowore’s release.
