Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, on Sunday alleged that arrangements had been concluded for the removal of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

There have been speculations that Osinbajo was on his way out owing to resentment from President Muhammadu Buhari’s kitchen cabinet.

The president’s inner circle as well as Osinbajo’s benefactor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, are said to be working my on the move to oust Osinbajo over the vice-president’s alleged 2023 presidential ambition and some steps he took while Buhari was on a 103-day medical vacation in 2017.

Though the move has been denied by the presidency, Fani-Kayode said on Twitter that three instated names had been pencilled down for consideration as Osinbajo’s possible replacement.

He said: "Despite all his begging and lobbying I have it on good authority that @ProfOsinbajo is still on his way out. 3 names have been shortlisted as possible replacements. Yemi is as good as gone. He should just pray for a peaceful and scandal-free exit. That is the best he will get."
