Over one month since she disappeared from social media, Nigeria’s first lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, bounced back on Tuesday.
There has been controversy over her silence and absence from public functions pertaining to her office since she took a photograph with some African first ladies while on hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Though the presidency hsd tried to dispel speculations that she travelled to London from Saudi Arabia over fears for her safety.
She had been having a running battle with some members of buharists kitchen cabinet and had at a time described two unnamed members of the cabal as “jackals” and “hyenas.”
She, however, broke her silence via two tweets to mark just ferias 59th independence.
She said; “On the occasion of the 59th independence anniversary of our dear nation, I wish to restate my resolve to touch more lives through Aisha Buhari Foundation and Future Assured Programs. I however continue my call on more privileged Nigerians, the private sector and NGOs to do more in the areas of education, health, empowerment and protection of women and children. It is my earnest belief that the future is bright.

Her last appearance on social media was in August 28, 2019 when she retweeted a photograph.
