Coach Fidelis Ilechuckwu who was the head coach of the MFM FC has finally said goodbye to the ‘enemy die enemy die’ club as he joins Heartland Football Club of Owerri.
It could be recalled that www.metrostarng.com reported that speculations were rife about the coach leaving the MFM FC where he has coached for 13 years, right from the grassroots to the amateur league, down to the NNL, up to the NPFL.
The young coach who had been linked to a number of clubs has finally joined Heartland FC of Owerri and will be unveiled on Monday, after the official signing the dotted lines.
The quintessential coach has produced a number of players who are doing very well in and out of the shores of Nigeria especially in Europe. Notable among them is Stephen Ode, who is doing very well in the Belgian league.
It would definitely be a new challenge for coach Ilechuckwu in a new environment after a long time the same club and the question many will be asking is: can he surpass his record at MFM FC? Only time will tell.
