The Senator representing Lagos Central, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday ‘bonbed’ the immediate past Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, over alleged non-provision of jobs to get constituents.
Speaking during the screening of the renoninated minister, he senator said: “My only addition is that during your first tenure, I remember I didn’t get any chance to give employment letter to my constituency.
“So, when you get there this time, just remember Senators here that have people back home. My constituents are asking us for employment slots. So, I want you to put that in your agenda for next tenure.
“We all need slot for employment for our constituents,” she said.
She, however, described him as a fit and proper person to occupy the position of a minister.
Fashola was nominated from Lagos State along with a former speaker of the state house of assembly, Senator Olorunnibe Mamora.
