Defection: Court Strikes Out LEDAP’s Suit Against Saraki, Dogara, Akpabio


A Federal High Court in Abuja in Friday struck out a suit seeking to force Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki; Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, former Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, and some other federal lawmakers to vacate their seats for detecting from their parties.

The suit was instituted by the Legal Defence and Assistance Project (LEDAP).

However, Justice Okon Abang held that the plaintiffs lacked locus standi to institute the suit on behalf of Nigerians.
