Charly Boy takes Our Mumu Don Do protest to Owerri

Controversial musician, Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy has relocated to Owerri from Abuja to mobilise for a public protests against bad governance.

There had been speculations that his relocation was in preparation for a likely appointment to serve in the incoming administration of Imo State Governor-elect Emeka Ihedioha.

But Charly Boy angrily debunked the rumour.

In a WhatsApp post on Tuesday night, the convener of Our Mumu Don Do Movement urged the people of Imo State to join in the protest.

“Fellow frustrated Imolites, if you have felt hunger, oppression and hopelessness, please join me in a peaceful March Thursday 7am 18th April, 2019 advocating for good governance and accountability.

“Government from here on must be accountable to the people. We must have a social contract,” he wrote.

The movement has held a number of protests in Abuja.
