Ezihe women donate cash, gifts to charity home

[File] Naira paymentTo mark the end of the year meeting, the women of Ezihe Autonomous Community, Isiala Mbano of Imo State, Lagos branch, yesterday donated an undisclosed amount of money, foodstuff and gift items to the less-privileged children at So-Said Charity Home, Okota, Lagos.
President of the Ezihe Women, Mrs. Grace Nene Osunwa, said the visit and donation was following in the tradition of the association, which is to mark the end-of-year activities with providing succor to many less-privileged citizens to celebrate the yuletide.
Admitting that this was the group’s first visit to So-Said Charity Home, she said the aim of this year’s visit is using the donation to seek God’s mercy to restore peace to Ezihe autonomous community, Lagos branch.
Receiving the donation, management of home thanked the women for their gesture and highlighted areas in which they seek the public’s intervention. These are buying a hummer bus and completing the dining hall for the children.
The items donated include tubers of yam, cartons of noodles, groundnut oil, bags of rice, provisions, toiletries and other household items.
