Astute businessman, Jimi Agbaje, on Wednesday confirmed rumours that he had joined the Lagos State governorship race for 2019.
Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, Agbaje said he was running for the third time based on pressure from “so many people.”
He had run for governor in 2007 on the platform of the Democratic Peoples Alliance and in 2011 and 2015 under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He also ran for the national chairmanship of the PDP in 2017 which was on by Uche Secondus.
He said though he did not want to run, he bowed to pressure and would be part of the Lagos state governorship primaries on September 28.
