Anambra, Delta, others at risk as River Niger overflows banks

Nigeria Hydrological Service Agency on Wednesday warned that communities in seven states were at risk of flooding as the River Niger overflows its banks overnight.

The states are Anambra, Delta, Bayelsa, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara and Kogi.

It also said Kainji and Jenna dams were already spilling water downstream while the flooding in the Kogi State capital, Lokoja, had risen.
